The issue is not wether or not earth's climate has varied over the eons (it did) although how much atmosphere composition had to do with that im not aware, but the real issue is does the gas we keep pumping in our atmosphere, CO2 and methane, a gas that will warm a climate?
Short answer: Yes Long answer: Yes Is it stupid to play russian roulette with something as complex and fragile as the earth's climate when there are alternative technologies we could use (solar, wind) where we dont have to take these risks?
