They did a pretty good job not making legendary cards insanely powerful or something, they just tend to have very specific powerful uses that better players understand how to take advantage of.
If you just build an anti-flavor_of_the_month deck with good commons and some blues, you can win more than you lose pretty easily.
That being said I put like half a bitcoin worth of money into this shit because I'm sick.
