I knew the word holocaust as it's actual meaning long before I learned of the WW2 genocide. It's a well-used term in writing, particularly science fiction.

Let me get this straight you're trying to convince me that because you happened to know that a word had another meaning before you learned what its common meaning was that it negates the legitimacy of the common use of the word? Like I said go poll one hundred strangers on what they think it means.
