Also worth noting, Bard.
Especially if your friend is a stoner or has to AFK a lot. When he AFKs have him sing his single target mez song with your charmed pet targeted. Every 6 seconds it will pulse and mez. Acting as a glorious safety net for charming even while he is AFK. While he is awake he can help CC, regen, pull and sort of assist with charming DPS.
