And I think Cobble's post was a bit of hyperbole. The goal of the class system was to open content to the masses and I don't think anyone can say that the system hasn't at least done that.

The FFA cycle was meant to help class R guilds grow and eventually advance towards class C but their (class C) raid scene is so off-putting that no class R guild will make that leap, nor should they be forced to. I'm sure the staff didn't expect TMO to gobble up FE and then have that motherfucker turn into FrapsQuest/PetitionQuest. If anything the FFA cycle was the real failure and I think Sirken even agreed with that to a point.

Some possible solutions would be to remove the FFA portion entirely or maybe having all FFA mobs spawning simultaneously making it into a tiny repop scenario where guilds have to prioritize targets.
