This argument is invalid. That's like saying "You shouldn't deem the guy who mugs you bad, because there are those out there that would murder your wife, violate your household pet, and sell your children as slave labor in an asian sweatshop". Weed is less severe sure, but unless you're writing lame ass indie rock songs or involved a hot-dog eating contest, you are better off at most general tasks sober rather than high.

This analogy is so idiotic that it sickens me.

I don't understand how people are still so opposed to cannabis to this day. Really people? Do you not see all the good in this plant? Why the hell are you all so angry at pot-smokers? What did we do to you? Are we really criminals? Have you even smoked pot before, responsibly?

Arguing over the dangers of cannabis is like arguing over the dangers of sitting on a bench. It's about as logical as creationism.
