If nihilum is a Zerg what was azrael when you outnumbered nihilum 2-1 for 2 months?

I dont know why people keep referring to this, but I never saw it while I was still playing. I played for 2-3 weeks when azrael straight up shit stomped nihilum with either even numbers or short 5-6 every single respawn. Did this 2-1 ratio happen the last month?
