Way better, more flexible in the abilities you wield, whereas Diablo 3 locks you in and you're stuck with that build, which sucks very much. Very poor all locked in abilities with D3, that are not as fun as PoE, and no skill tree in D3 you can branch out on to get just the right kind of character you want like in Path of Exile. The rarity seems more interesting with drops, and I play a witch, probably the most fun class, just combining all your skill gems that grow with experience, and do various abilities with different ranges, method of attack, like AOE rains, like one ability is a click held and release fireblast in an area where the explosion gets bigger in the circle the more you hold, ice, thunder, and fire spells, and a really well thought out skill tree that adds to that flexibility. It's fun with a witch, cuz you can summon undead and ruin everything on screen, you can maximize your pixel slaughter by using the right gems / spells at the right times against different enemies / numbers. Just maximize your kill gainz, where D3 doesn't really let you do that, it just feel like the same thing over again which is sad, no sense of survival, like Diablo 1 or even 2. Path of Exile Hardcore and erase if you ever die, it only kicks you down to standard league.
