Tried the beta, it was so foreign to me im not sure i could get used to it. Never liked the console versions and not targeting in an online game seems weird, so does manually having to attack.

Except for Skyrim and, to a lesser extent, Oblivion both of which I played on 360, I'm new to the series too. It's so old even tho I've played two titles I still feel like a noob. Got in the last beta weekend but didn't have time to play so I'm coming to it fresh, which is just what the doc ordered. Been dying to sink into a new game for a while.
There are things about what I have seen that gives me reservations about an MMO version of the series. But, simultaneously, there are enough really amazing things about what I've seen that make me highly curious about how an Elder Scrolls MMO will play. I gave WoW a shot for the same reasons. Wound up running screaming from that, but out of respect for the franchise it was absolutely worth a shot. As single player RPGs Skyrim abd Oblivion are amazing. I'm really stoked to see how that translates to an MMO.
I'm also curious about PC versus console. It may play better on one than the other. If I like the PC version I'll probably get it for the Xbox One in June and do a taste test. Been hoping for a true MMO on console for a long time, too. Maybe this will be the one.
Who knows. They have a great track record with these games, tho, so it's worth a try, imo.
