I never defended a person who gambled their life savings away. But you can't really call his family victims without completely destroying the meaning of the word "victim". If anyone is a victim simply because they weren't given as much by others as they could/should have been, then pretty much every single person is a victim. And a word that can apply to anyone has zero meaning. Too complex for you to understand? Just get all upset and spout off some more petty insults instead. It's the RnF way after all.
