My comment "suggests" nothing other than to teach your kids the non aggression and self ownership principle through your words AND actions.

If every parent did this...violent crimes would plummet in a generation.

But if that happened, then counties and cities wouldnt have an endless stream of revenue making government bloated and rich so no "authority" figure is going to tell you to do this...as they depend on dumb people being violent to ensure their jobs.
