All the white-knighting in this thread makes me lol. Everyone knows it's free we don't need to be reminded. Free or not I don't think asking for an ETA is out of line. Nor is expecting some form of an update when downtime exceeds the given ETA 12 times over. Stop being tools.

ETA was given, ETA was not right. Time could be spent analyzing the problem to give another ETA or time could be spent just fixing the shit. This is so similar to the shit that goes on at work everyday it's hilarious. All these jackasses that have no idea what's going on or even what a database is, are asking why their buttons won't work and how long until they start working again. Then asking for root cause analysis which no one understands, the blame game etc. etc.
