Speed by itself is not a factor. If the road supports a car driving at 100-120 mph and your car can handle those speeds, then there shouldn't be an issue. The issue comes when you as a driver can't handle those speeds, or your car, or distractions while speeding. Then the other issue, are other drivers who can't handle other people driving faster than them. The autobahn has less crashes per capita than the US, because they actually understand how to react to fast drivers, and proper use of the road and lanes (Get the fuck out of the left lane fucktards).
