For me the whole point of PVP is the thrill of life and death, and the danger of losing a good piece of equipment and the reward of taking one.
Definitely I don't care about my PVP standing, or anything like that. I play SF4 and really like it and in a game like that it matters who you can just beat 1v1 and its a straight competition between skills and understanding different character mechanics. An open world game can never be worth PVPing in and "balanced" in the sense that a good fighting game or FPS is. If I want to play a game where I have an honest chance at killing everyone I see, I will play an FPS which I do all the time. But for a good RPG you need to be able to get fucked over. Maybe we can convince braid mcwayde to make a pvp server thats just as messed up as everquest is. | ||
