If you decide to go somewhere like Faydwer or Kunark and get bound you can do the ghetto-gate.
/duel someone near your current bind point and have them kill you (no xp loss). Loot the money off your corpse and whichever bags have crap you want to sell (put it all in the cheap-5g backpacks before getting killed, don't use good bags like large soiled or burlap ect..) Get a port to Feerrott/WC/NRo Go train/sell/bank Sell the backpacks you had and bank that coin as well. Get someone to /duel kill you again. (or if this takes you less than 30min & a cleric is nearby they can rez your dueled corpse) Bing! You're back at your corpse with all your gear and significantly less travel time then finding a port to DL and running back to FoB or something stupid. You can always ask someone to buy you some new backpacks to replace the ones from earlier. Obviously doesn't work as well if you need to do gear xfers or if you want to buy stuff in EC but if you make friends with someone who has a firepot bound char you can use a mule to buy in EC and ask them to deliver it to your main quickly.
