I think that hardcore players dedicate significantly more time and effort on the server and keep the player count at a stable level, I'd also assume that the hardcore raiders contributed the lionshare of the bug/exploit/necessary tweaking assistance that the devs needed to help tailor this classic experience. I don't think it's a stretch at all to say hardcore players who spend 40 hours a week dedicated to p99 contribute more to the server than the majority of casuals who play sporadically. Also you obviously don't have to be in Tmo to be hardcore, I don't think he ever implied that he meant bat phoning, tracking and sitting in ec was some kind of net game for the server, your just exploiting an opportunity to get up on your soap box again.
