What I've experienced, is that it's made 40 a bit less of a hell level. I logged on the other morning to kill a single spawn HG- I got about 10% in about an hour.
Ultimately, for me at least, this few days worth of double experience is going to have almost ZERO effect on the time it takes to level my druid to 50- it may account for 1/100th of 1 percent of the total experience I gain over the life of the character. So, keep it through the weekend, stop it right now, or something in between, really makes no difference to me.
