Default Shaman epic faction question

I've read pretty well though every thread on the subject on the forums but I have a couple questions.

First off, I have a friend with the tear who is willing to do the spawning of the final boss for me. I have max faction.

Question 1: I am under the impression he needs MAX faction as well to spawn the boss. True?

Question 2: Are there any issues with a non shaman maxing truespirit faction if the above is true?

Question 3: We've done approximately 12-13 woe/envy/marr turn ins while already in warmly and STILL haven't maxed truespirit on his wizard. Is something screwed up or is this normal? According to the faction charts on the wiki, maxing warmly should take approximately the same amount of "faction points" as going from kindly to warmly. It took only about 4 or 5 turn ins to go from high amiable to warmly. So either the faction chart is way off or something is hosed.

Question 4: Is it possible it is maxed and we're either not seeing the "you cannot possibly get any better" message? Does it only appear when you first max it (and he might have missed it) or every time you gain faction after? I'm worried its maxed and it's just not telling us.

Question 5: On Live I remember woe/envy/marr being the go-to method as it only took like half a dozen turn ins to max faction. Was that nerfed on live, nerfed on here?

I'm at the point now where I don't want to risk losing a tear, but I'm worried something is bugged. Any help/info would be appreciated!
