No one was trying to mobilize to kill dragons when the server was down that night. Resistance was at a low point and those low points are part of an inevitable everlasting cycle that will go on forever without variance.
The resistance isn't going to go into raid zones against 50 people and deal with pointless corpse runs. It isn't fun and people lose interest. The current system allows casuals to meet up and zerg once a week while hardcore players not in the zerg are left watching. Its a terrible system.
