That makes you a good person in my book sir. I've spent close to a thousand dollars on a ferret before and she only had a few years left at best.

Yeah, he's a puppy. He had his jaw broken and they had to do surgery on him to correct it (screws and wires). It was let him heal naturally (it wouldn't heal, had tissue on one side and a tooth on the other keeping it from healing), put him down, or pay for the surgery.
Easier for me to live with myself and my dog if I just don't have the extra cash to throw around.
