High Keep & Goblin Ears

So I'm "threatening" con in High Pass and High Keep as a Dark Elf, went down to the Goblins in high keep last night invis, got a bunch of left goblin ears while in a group. I was wondering if anybody could answer my questions about this quest. I'd like to get at least out of the KOS realm, hopefully be able to trade too.

Captain Bosec will pay between 1 and 5 gold for each left goblin ear you turn over to him. He generally stands close to the entrance of the cellars, near the bank. The following factions all go up: highpass guards, Carson McCabe, Merchants of Highpass, Corrupt Qeynos Guards, The Freeport Militia. This is a great way to raise faction with the corrupt Freeport and Qeynos Guards/Militia.

1. Can I run this quest if I'm in Wolf Form?

2. If not, some people claim that you can have a group member run it and you will get the faction hit - is this true?

3. How many ears do you turn in at a time?

4. Is this an effective way to raise faction or should I just go beat up on Orcs for hours?
