not true. give your pet an exe axe and see him hit past 40. if the dmg of weapons isnt greater than the max dmg hand to hand no dmg change. weapon only helps if its more dmg than its normal attack. max hit is without weapons.

brings up an interesting question, how can I tell what the max damage is hand to hand on my pet?
