Default Help! Installed on a macbook and game won't load

Ok, so I followed the steps in Avatar/Phobus' thread and when I go to load the game, the icon does the 'jump' in the dock, indicating I selected it, but then nothing. No screen pops up, no nothing. I've tried starting it from the Applications folder as well, and nothing. It will allow me to force quit-but that's it. When I click and hold on the icon, it says "Program is not responding".

The only hang up I had in this install was the following:

I have the .iso files of the discs. On a mac, in order to mount them, I dragged each disc to the desktop. However, when I went into WINE to load the program, it wouldn't recognize the disc mounted as an option to select it. So what I did was I copied all the files on each disc and put them each in a folder (ie, CD 1 was named eq1 on the desktop, cd2=eq2, etc.). This seemed to work fine on the install and everything went through the paces it seemed and I got the successful message on EQ that EQ had been loaded successfully.

The first time I loaded it up, I accidentally selected whatever the Default path to install was. Noticing this was incorrect, I went into setup.exe on the first CD and selected the Uninstall Option. I then went through the Install program again, making the path C:\P99 (same as the folder I named in Project99 Application). There was only one difference to note in both installs: The first time, it asked me fore each disk. The second time, it just loaded everything up without asking.

Any help would be appreciated. I used to be pretty good with PC's, but mac's I'm a lost cause!
