So generate play characters for staff and equip them.. Sounds like a bad way to mask GM favoritism/corruption.

We already have that, might as well make it official and sanction it. Have a few Gm's on each side, so they can be swayed by public opinion.

Thought the idea of PvP for those stuck in gloomingdeep prison would be fun too... only way to get iron rations and water is to kill your opponents loot their cloth shirts and turn them in.
