you don't get a snare line, do you? if so you could also charm a frog, tash/snare the hell out of the scarelings, and let the frog pet fear kite him to victory. sounds like a solid plan for a druid/enc fear duo tho! (there is frog that paths to south of the portal that would be easy enough to snag)
