P.S. Don't knock 4-tracks... We recorded our album before last on a 4-track and it sounds better than the studio one we just released.

if sounding better than a few guys banging some trash cans together and puking into a microphone is your idea of "commercial metal" then i guess you're right. personally "commercial metal" to me is the garbage you hear on the radio.. you know shit like 5fdp, seether, nickleback... now those are over commercialized watered down wannabe "metal" bands. not shadows fall, chimaira, LoG or any other the numerous new wave of metal bands that happen to sound good and also be successful.
success does not equal mainstream
and obscurity does not make a band good
