I'm showing you an example of a proper fraps. None of this 8 second stuff taken out of context.

On July 15, 2012, BDA pulled Draco with a train and had uncontrolled mobs in their camp on the SWWall. TMO was positioned a bit north of BDA on the WWall. Using the logic displayed by BDA in the previous posts of this thread, TMO would have been in the right to pull Draco off BDA since it was pulled closer to TMO's camp instead of BDA's camp and due to the additional BDA mobs. TMO was called to camp instead. BDA then proceeded to wipe to their uncontrolled train that accompanied Draco and stuff that was already in BDA's camp when the pull started. BDA completely disregarded Ambrotos' ruling and the spirit of the ruling.

How are the BDA people running around with trains on them on July 15, 2012, any different your 26 second and 8 second fraps?

Do you agree or not that TMO would have been in the right to pull Draco off BDA and kill it on July 15, 2012?
It shouldn't be a prerequisite to have a permanent cameraman running gigs and gigs of fraps to raid on this server. It's patently absurd, but that's an entirely different conversation.

I think these instances differ due to the fact that the camps are basically right next to each other. On the 7/19 encounter BDA was on west wall and TMO was east of the portal, basically separated by the portal hill. Those are markedly different camps imo as opposed to two guilds sitting on west wall only a few feet from each other.

The spirit of the ambrotos rule was to avoid the kiting of mobs indefinitely which trivializes raid content (I guess even more so since they're already pretty easy as is) and usually creates "accidents" when guilds are competing for targets. The specific portion of that rule said that you can pull targets, but only a short distance.

In fact when the rule was first implemented we (BDA) would engage draco in the graveyard because we were following the rule to a T. At one point we broke fear, TMO followed us in (as usual, you always let us break, but whatever - another conversation for another day as well) and pulled draco to west wall as we finished clearing the area and took the kill. After that ambrotos clarified that pulling a short distance was acceptable.

I'm honestly tired of having these conversations on every single encounter. Increase the peace imo.
