In his latest interview about tesla he reveals that auto driving has hit a celing and basically admits that there is no such hope for it, until they invent a nueral net that can function like a humans.

He had an actor in a suit to hype this up. A+ for effort, big fail on presentation. Even tho he could definitely deliver a serviceable prototype.
