For the curious observers, here was the situation:

Aftermath had previously conceded Vyemm so could not engage him. Tempest would not engage Vyemm because it would all-but-guarantee Aftermath got Vulak. When AG/PS wiped to Vyemm and conceded him, it left a situation where there was no real prospect of a guild killing him anytime soon.
  • Tempest do not kill Vyemm, meaning nobody kills Vulak. Nobody gets any loot.
  • Tempest kills Vyemm and Aftermath kills Vulak. Both guilds get loot.
To try and end the stalemate, Aftermath reached out to Tempest leadership and offered to split the Vulak loot. We even offered to roll to see who got first pick. If Tempest accepted that would leave a third option:
  • Tempest gets all the loot from an uncontested Vyemm and gets half the loot from a Vulak they do not even have to touch. They even have a 50% chance for the first pick.
Unfortunately, Bellringer's greed means he declines the offer of free and uncontested loot, stating that they would rather just leave Vyemm up if that is all Aftermath was offering. Maybe we were short a 500k sweetener?

A frustrating situation for the regular members of both guilds who just wanted to compete and play the game.

As an aside, Aftermath is recruiting! If you enjoy playing the game, killing dragons, and experiencing the thrill of earning loot then apply today: aftermath99.org. Our new applicants are winning BIS items right from the start, without having to compete against the elite inner circle who hoard the DKP or bomb and then ghost!
