Anyone use their android or 4G connection to play?

I've heard this is possible so I thought I would give it a try as I may have to go without a land connection for a bit. The game runs fine when I'm connected at home.

First I tried connecting my device through USB but it's just too laggy. Even browsing the internet is sluggish but P99 does work. So I decided to try setting my phone up as a mobile wifi hotspot and connecting to it that way. Amazingly browsing the internet is super snappy. Zero issues at all. I can connect to the log in servers with no issues as well (it might even connect faster than my land connection). However once I try to connect to Blue it just never loads the character select screen and I can see there's no activity on the 4G icon once I get past the log in screen. Is there something in Android that would block it? Any ideas would be much appreciated.
