My in-law's grandfather was from Bogota, Colombia. He dreamed of getting into business as a farmer to have his own property, live off the land, you know the old frontier American dream.

He was a retired oil executive, so he had money to buy a farm just outside of Bogota. After about a year and the manor house was finished, he started planting coffee and opened a coffee trade business in America. Well when FARC heard about it, they sent paramilitary goons by his home one night to have a little talk. He thought being FARC, they would just want to make sure he was protected from drug mafia and he would pay them for protection, which he had no qualms about being taxed. FARC's platform is anti-drug afterall.

He was wrong. They knew he had pending import deals with America and wanted him to smuggle cocaine underneath the coffee. He played along, pretending he was going to work with them. Yeah yeah, cool cool. He quietly sold the farm within the next year after avoiding cooperation with the savages. The bank said the manor house had been destroyed and looted. And his information spray painted across the broad side of the barn. Narrowly avoided being kidnapped and tortured I'm sure.

The least we can do is build a wall.
