I think that it's taking the easy way out. Coming from someone who has thought about doing it that it really feels like your just giving up and want to escape the world. There is nothing on the otherside and it's just a matter of if your ready to end it or not and disappoint the people that love you. I don't find anything courageous about it.

Fucking hell - with the exception that is twins (which has proven to be a defect in the process anyway) we are all incredibly unique and none of us ever think, act, look, or feel the same as someone else (even twins). Yes, it's due to different experiences that mold us into who we are but to create the everlasting excuse that we are all dust in the wind that has absolutely no effect on one another is just ignorance.

If we destroy the world we live on, then we kill the consciousness that is and therefore we don't deserve it.

Meaning of life might be summed up into one word, love. Take away love and watch how the infant doesn't survive and seeps into a destructive depression that releases chemicals that literally destroy our tissues. A good example of that would be how stress works on the body. Sure it's intention is the fight or flight purpose but that same chemical that is released will inevitably destroy your physical being.

I find happiness in learning about how things work and helping others do the same.

If you live a self absorbed existence then living the way you do will make you happy. Ironically most people live like you do so you prove my point that indeed you are not unique or special.
