If you are this naive to be played like a fiddle by TMO leadership then I'm quite impressed with TMO. A member who looks past his "families" treacheries (pretty much on the level of stealing irl) and masquerades as a "good guy" to give a "good image" to his family.
its morons like this that make events and giveaways so rare.

the server is loaded with kind caring people that want to relive memories and help others, not all but a huge % of the p99 population is. when someone goes out of their way to give out like 50k? takes the time to set up this event to bring some non grinding pixel related joy to the server, this is the thanks they get.

I'm sure the OP is just ignoring the nonsenes hate like this, thankfully, and is hopefully planning on another in the near future.

Vulzol take a step back for 2 seconds, remove the tinfoil hat and wipe the hate out of your eyes. This was one person doing a fun event for the good of the server but your so blinded by your pointless hate for tmo its obviously some ploy! some trick! its a ruse to get the new uninformed players to trust tmo and maybe join! Thank god we have upstanding members like yourself telling them the truth!

Or your just being hateful and trying to ruin, not only the OP, but the entire servers fun. How many posts or thanks directed towards TMO have you seen? I Haven't seen any they are all thanking this ONE exceptional member of our community and I for one am thankful we have people like HIM here trying to spread some joy.

Now you on the other hand, i'm not thankful that your here....not at all

I don't know how vulzol's forum account hasn't been banned yet. Force a troll picture on his avatar at least [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Some were easy questions, some were hard. Tried to make a mix of questions.
The 30 were (didn't write down sudden death ones I came up with)

1. Name the 3 most deadly wars in World History in terms of casualties. – WW2, WW1, 30 yrs war

China had a bunch of revolts and revolutions that would knock the 30 year war and even possibly WW1 out of the top 3. Depending on where you place Japan's military actions (most Europeans see WW2 starting in 1939, most Americans see WW2 starting 1941), the Sino-Japanese waw(s) could also challenge.

4. What running back averaged over 10 touchdowns and 1500 yards for each of his 10 seasons in the NFL, making the pro bowl every year. – Barry Sanders.

Barry averaged over 1500 rushing yards, but not over 10 rushing touchdowns. When you include his receiving yards/TDs, the numbers jump up to over 1800 yards and nearly 11 TDs a year.

5. What is the country with the largest land area in Western Europe – France – 633 square k.

The Kingdom of Denmark claims Greenland counts and respectfully disagrees.

9. What Dutch Explorer first “discovered” Australia – Dirk Hartog

How did you decide on him instead of Willem Janszoon?

11. Name the American city commonly referred to as “The Mistake on the Lake” –

For God's sakes Lemon, we'd all like to flee to the Cleve and club up at the Flats and have lunch with Little Richard

26. What is the name of the hottest pepper in the world? Either scientific or nickname – Ghost Pepper

Don't tell that to the Trinidad Moruga Scorpian

30. What language is spoken by more people than any other language in the world?
Mandarin>English for native speakers, but if you change this to some standard of fluency, English>Standard Chinese.
Fixed your answers, HTH.

1. If you research into it the 30 years war had over 30 million casualties - military and civilian combined. Although some of the Chinese internal conflicts had a high casualty toll none come close to the 30 years count.

4. Notice I didn't say rushing touchdowns only? Receiving touchdowns count towards the 10 per season total.

5. Perhaps it could have been worded better but Greenland is not commonly accepted as part of Western Europe. Many people who participated in the trivia event said Russia - which is in Europe but in Eastern Europe.

9. This is the one of two questions I legitamtely messed up on. I was going off memory and you're right, Janszoon did beat Hartog out by a couple of years with Hartog being second. I awarded a point to both the person who first said Hartog and the person who first said Janszoon.

11. Not sure why you put this one as an error - Cleveland is commonly referred to as "The Mistake on the Lake". Unfortunately I live there [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

26. Nice catch. I'm not big into peppers but for the longest part of my life the Ghost Pepper has had the dubious honor of being the hottest. Upon researching I can see that the Trinidad Moruga Scorpian was confirmed to be number #1 last year. As no one said the Trinidad Moruga (within the 10 second time limit) the issue was not raised during the trivia event as it was with quesiton #9

30. I did change the wording on this question when I asked it compared to what I wrote down on the question list - As I was typing the question I changed it to "largest number of Native Speakers" as I saw the same ambiguity you did upon reading it. Thus making Mandarin the correct answer.

To be honest I did this Trivia event on a whim and had only about an hour to come up with the questions. I'm thinking I will make this a monthly occurrence; as such I will have more time to double and triple check all of the answers. Might also then outsource it to a 3rd party who doesn't play EQ to double check my work.

Thank you for the feedback on this.

I studied a fair amount of Chinese dynastic history in college, so the answers to your first question threw me for a loop and figured I'd look at the others. I'd be curious to see your sources for the 30 million figure. Seems higher than anything that I have read. Many sources put the figure for the Taiping rebellion between 20-30 million.

It's all the years of playing fantasy football. Differentiating between rushing/receiving and what not.

I'd agree with France, just that the Dutch might get pissy.

It's my favorite Cleveland quote? I did some study at College of Wooster (about an hour south of you), so am fairly familiar with the area. I always heard the old Cleveland municipal stadium referred to as the "Mistake by the Lake" because of how it was constructed. I'd be curious to know if the nickname was first applied to the city or the stadium, but don't have the inclination to actually research. At least it's not Detroit.

Yay for trivia.

Sad I missed this. Hopefully despite all the trolls will you still be encouraged to do more events?

Oh yeah, I'm planning on it. You can't please everyone all the time. A few trolls isn't going to discourage me - had 50-60 people there who had a blast. Next time I'll give more notice and have more time to compile questions along with having a 3rd party who doesn't play EQ double check them.
