Don't group with them again. In the grand scheme of things, the item you lost out on probably wasn't that big of a deal. I mean, what was it, maybe a couple hundred platinum at most? Just view it as you payed a couple hundred plat for the knowledge that the player you're talking about is a jack off and should be avoided... pretty cheap if you look at it that way imo.

I will say this. Ninja looting sucks, esp when you camped jboots..lol or the fbss. Anyway...it happens. There isn't much recourse other then posting the ss or petitioning. Personally I never liked crucifying someone for ninjalooting, if it was at one of those camps, like fbss, or smr, we would just make it known.
Honestly, most people won't care unless it happened to them...I've seen alot of real wankers thrive in eq cuz they could play alot, and give guilds dedicated play time. You can appeal to the other person's sense of honor...usually doesn't work. I always tried to be the bigger man, as it were. Playing in the mud with the pigs only gets you just as dirty as the pigs. And honestly I don't know how this gm population will handle this sort of thing, it isn't a bannable offense really, more like a breach of etiquette? So let them ruin their own reputaition...

and what Loke said, loot comes and goes in this game, it may seem like the world now, but in a bit it won't seem that big a deal at all.

Post the screenshots here and out the sonuvabitch. Do not listen to anyone saying "Well, loot is not that big of a deal" because I guarantee you that those people will not let this jack-off in their groups if they're camping FBSS or GEBs or something lucrative like that. Let us crucify him and make sure ninjalooters do not make it very far in this game. I want to know which people to not invite into my groups if I am camping a named for loot that I would like the opportunity to /random and win.

People need to learn that reputation is everything in MMO's. Without friends, nobody is going to accomplish jack shit.
Give us his name, and let him take the rep hit. You will get the last laugh when the greedy little fucker can't get a group or get a guild. Would you keep a child molesters name to yourself, or warn others?

To the OP- depending on the caliber of the item that was taken from you, probly should have posted some names, otherwise your claims don't hold any water.

Reputations are important in an MMO like EQ, but it takes a lot more than a single post on a very minor incident to ruin one. As far as main looting, I hate this. In most exp groups you have a revolving door of new players routinely. It is a lot of work to keep track of loot and money and splits...and in an exp, where you want to keep work to a minimum so that the grp doesn't get tired, you don't need it. Loot rules are simple imo... 1. Whoever is leader states the rules when the grp starts. It doesn't matter what the rules are, only that they are stated at the beginning so that all know. 2. Since everyone has been informed of the loot rules, whatever they are, the group should say at the beginning if they have a problem with it. An example might be, "honor looting on vendor trash, alpha on gems, and we will roll NBG on any gear." It doesn't matter...as long as everyone agrees before looting starts. The sure way to get into problems is to not state the rules until loot drops. Thats it. Say the rules, say if you have a problem with the rules before anything starts to be looted/rolled on/etc...
