I'd love to learn to swarm kite like this. I am level 17 now, and am wondering what the correct songs are to use for swarm kiting. I do not even know the basics, to be honest. Do you cycle your targets and re-cast the DoT, while also twisting in selos? I don't mean to hijack the thread but if anybody has any tips I am all ears!

Bards make epic kiters, if you have the patience for a lengthy kite. I played a druid back in Live, and never ceased to be amazed at the stuff some bards could pull off. For my short attention span, quadding is more my speed.

Bono got it from me.

I'm Tamborine, anyone seen me in EK from about 16-24?

I was aoe kiting over 50 mobs (at once) at times.

Good job Bono, keep up the good work. We need to show everyone that just because our melee dps stinks, we can still rock the house. (no pun intended)

I claim BS, since I just dragged your corpse from where you took a dirt nap about 50 feet from the zone line in CT last night. Where was all the AOE kiting then? You had the entire CT courtyard free to work your magic! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] haha

The magic isn't what songs you twist (Chords of Dissonance, Denon's Disruptive Discord, and Selo's) Its the positioning of your character

Lol Yes this is real guys no programs, even Rogean came to check it out to see for himself. Bono said he gains a yellow every pull, however each pull takes like 20mins total. Between rounding it all up, getting it bunched together and then killing them. He also said he dies every now and then too from lag, even 1 second spike of lag = death, when you 30 things on you lol. It looks fun but yeah, really risky and need to practice it alot before you can pull it off easily like Bono does.

BAH!

I was lvl 26 when you did that. Im running out of areas to pull of a successful aoe kite. There isn't much left. I was seeking out a place to do so. The courtyard is all green. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Since the mobs are always heading directly towards you if you have a faster run speed you can run a circle around them of a specific size that keeps you just out of melee but in song range. Finding that sweet spot though is rather difficult and as stated a tiny bit of lag means you die in addition to things taking 15 minutes to finish.

Personally though I feel that if you're gonna AE kite you should pull a lot more mobs than this. You're dead if you get in melee range anyway and the time is the same regardless. I would have added in all the gnoll spawns, centaurs, etc. Anything that doesn't cast spells.

Well, as you said above, you don't want to pull so many that you create video lag and die. I would think that there's probably an upper limit related to the power of his graphics card.
