Download/Update without EQEmu Launcher?

I had to reformat my computer which forces me to reinstall everything. I cannot get onto the Moestaverne/emulauncher website. From a fresh install anyway to beable to get to play status without eqemu launcher?

Of course. If you go to either eqemu's website and on the side bar, there's a link called set up. Follow that set up and you're good to go!

Or alternately, go to the technical forum here and look for a thread I started yesterday or two days ago, and you'll see a link directly there posted by me.

The launcher is just a faster way to update, connect to the servers.

Also, on the front page with updates from the devs on P99 is a link to download latest spell data.

Followed what it says to do and it and it is not working. I do not know where to go from here. No EqEmu = no EQ I guess [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Be a little more descriptive with your problem. Did you create a shortcut of eqgame.exe and in the properties change it to read "where EQ is installed" patchme? Then go into eqhost and change the location of the connection server?

yes, those are they steps I followed and I knew it was wrong right away because when EQ came up to the log-in screen there was a warewolf. I dunno what to do.

no...that's right, that's Depths of Darkhollow, the screen you'd see if you installed Titanium. Did the game patch? If not, try logging in.

Ok, got in now on char screen I am getting errorcode sp-1 and none of my char info shows up lol.

You're missing that step as well. The server's telling you that your spell files do not match the servers spell files.
