Tech support helps keep the newbie zones filled? So you guys just start up newbies to group with other newbies.

I like to help people by teaching them how to find the answers themselves. That's a skill that will serve them well for years to come...

I don't trust people who suck at spelling.

We actually try to do this over in the tech boards.

I have a fairly extensive FAQ stickied in there, and lyra and I wil often point people to that thread when they ask a common question (this happens a LOT).

Lyra is also really (and i mean really) good at finding answers via the search feature. She is amazing and puts a ton of time into digging for answers for people. she is such a big help and i don't know what i'd do without her [You must be logged in to view images. The best part is she always tells people how she found the answer, so that hopefully in the future people will look up the answers themselves (unfortunately, it seems that very few people learn =/ but we try!)

also, bump! tech boards always need as much help as possible! I've been absent from the board for about ~week and lyras been handling the bulk of the load (and doing a great job as always)

If the average person knew how to google search for things then there would be significantly less IT jobs in the world.
Please god let this never happen! I will cease to look like Leonidas at work when my boss needs to attach an image to his email message.
