in all seriousness .

i would say yes, ban it because it creates unbalance n economy etc.

only downside is.

i know a ton of people who came to red by buying stuff with blue pp. i feel had they been unable to do this they would never of played,

so it could effect server pop. only negative side i see banning it

When I initially launched the server, there were far more pressing matters on which to attend than policing trades. However, cases of players petitioning they were cheated on deals involving shared or traded accounts, I have declined to offer my assistance. Character sales or trades currently fall under 'at your own risk' situations.

That being said, there will come a time where this is against server rules. I hope that time is sooner than later, but heed this warning. Do not have your account in escrow, trade, or consignment for extended periods of time.

You might ask, how can we stop this? Whether it be through linked forum accounts, access codes, etc, I would prefer to prevent these situations than to seemingly condone them.

It is pretty bad that they allow trading from red to blue. Platlord site even suggests purchasing blue plat, with a link to red trading forum.

"Not seeing an item you like? Click this link, and you can trade blue plat for red plat / items, just buy blue 99 plat from me."

The sooner this happens the better, it would solve so many problems in one fell swoop, both here on the forums and in game.

There is nothing classic about this plauge of constant character buying/selling. And it facilitates a huge underground black market of those "trades that shall not be mentioned".

We need SMS Account Authentication asap too:

http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=42978

The symptom of "FTP", a never ending supply of new accounts and the habit of placeing a single toon on each account is not classic and brings with it many different evils. You can see this first hand on eqmac now that its free to play (i.e. as many accounts as you want).

I suggest a limit of two accounts per individual, that would allow people to ultimatly play every class there is if they would wish and would bring a ton of accountability to the player knowning all his eggs so to speak, are in one basket. Account tied to the indiviual and not transferable, just like the classic sony EQ policy.

In the same spirit as no-two-boxing rule exists to foster a classic community, we should tackle the other issues around here too that work against a "classic community" on the forums, and in game.

Yes we can. Yes we can.

Essentially, allowing trade between red/blue means that the pvp server isn't a closed ecosystem. It's similar to Sullon Zek when they allowed Legends transfers. People would return to Sullon with loot from Legends that they could have never acquired otherwise on the server. One guy showed up with full plane of time gear on a ranger when no one was even keyed for plane of time.

Server /ooc getting is spammed with chinese gold sellers and half the trade forum posts are trying to move plat between red/blue for rmt.

16 bluebies voted to keep their cross-server trading without defending it. Not surprised.

Not sure how anyone can argue with the above image.
