Coming from someone who actually knows wtf there talking about, mages back in the day we're OK at soloing low levels. But once you got some levels (not twinked) 30ish you would cast one spell and get aggro. Even if the mob was at 75%, Not to mention the fact that your pet would get ate up. So a battle solo ended up you losing your pet. And trying to burn the mob downbefore it burned you down.

ty sir, i will check this all out. as i said, i know a lot about how mages should work. in kunark, they were not the end all be all of norrath. and if i remember correctly, once i got to 52+ i was rotating between water and air for the stuns and backstabs before i got my epic because the root pet was pretty useless in pvp for how often its root was resisted.

Problem here Sirken, and has been on a few boxes until fixed, is that the Mage Pet proc is lure based. Making it very very hard to resist. I think thats the issue they are trying to tackle
