water detail

is there a way to turn down the water detail or set it to the old texture? i tried installing the low resolution textures but that didn't seem to work. i find that when i get near water on my laptop things slow down to unplayable levels. thanks.

try this in game:

EQ Button > Options > Display > Advanced button in bottom right > uncheck the "Use new water in old zones" Button.

You may also want to:
-Go through the particles tabs and set all the densities to Low.
- Sky Type as Simple or OFF
