Post-Velious Junk

This has probably been asked before.

1. Is there a way to exclude Froglok/Vah-Shir/Beastlord from the character creation screen?
2. Is there a way to exclude AA points and other post-Velious things from the UI while in-game?

I'm planning to start a handful of friends playing, and I feel like it will be overwhelming to explain that they can't use such-and-such features because they aren't actually in the game. It will just seem broken to them.

I would assume the latter is possible by editing UI files.
