it's really interesting in raid pvp... especially when you see (no matter where your at in the world)

There is no downside to this feature except some theorycraft that it "gives away your location". Except PvP in EQ usually isn't like Metal Gear Solid where the objective is to hide from it + I never saw this complaint brought up once in 4 years of VZTZ.

Most players just want a bit of attention and reputation when they get a kill. Screenshotting and announcing in OOC is the ghetto time-consuming option of doing the same thing.
