Yes it's a real shame. The only two guilds that ever had any chance of rivaling nihilum both had terrible leadership. Holocaust never had a leader, though it wasn't much of an issue till post ban, and FF had no real leadership. Both were also very elitist in who they invited whereas I don't think nihilum has turned down a single person on this server other than sickpuppy. I tried to make starwars time and create active officers and what not but it was too little too late with the pop at that point, there was just not enough players left to recruit.
It was just lolworthy watching the dumb prior drama in these guilds that people had with each other, "omg we cant invite player Z he griefed inactive member #245 back on box #358 three years ago," and of course that player would then join nihilum. I get not wanting to play with lots of people you dislike, but frankly most of the drama seemed pretty dumb to begin with, and I'd rather play with some people that are a tad annoying but get to do lots of PVP nightly and have fun fights than be constantly out numbered by nihilum and only be able to do things at 3am in the morning on a weeknight and then ultimately quit because no one wants to recruit.
That's what some of these nihilum trolls are missing here. It's not about winning or losing, it's about the excitment of the battle. A lot of us who are retired for the moment, from both sides, are not playing because there is no battle, not because we don't have item XYZ.
