no gold pickup sound

The sound it makes when you loot a mob that has gold on it, that doesn't play for me... My boyfriend's plays whenever he loots something, and I set both our computers up so I don't know why it works on his and not mine. Any ideas? It isn't a HUGE deal or anything, but I really like that sound... Kinda one of the more memorable parts of eq to me.

Gonna say something obvious, but sometimes mobs you're killing don't have any coin on them, these mobs don't trigger the sound [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I miss the sound when grouping with other people and autosplit is on. When I solo it's there.

Yep, when split is on, I don't hear anything. When split is off or I'm soloing, I hear it then.
