Also there is people who do enjoy it, just as in classic its just a fraction of the people who prefer the predictable and comfortable style of blue.

I for one will always prefer red servers because the additional control over your environment is addictive for me.

Strange how "additional control over your environment" means ganking lower level characters. How much fun that is for Red players, they enjoy that SO much, that they actively try and impose that on everybody else whether they like it or not.

Yeah wow what's going on? Currently 519 on blue and 40 on red, but there's also over 400 on other servers (a lot of them might be from boxing).

You can't compare red vs blue population 1:1 because you can't afk for 12 hours on red while camping some boring ass mob. Or sit in EC on a mule for 20 hours watching EC trade chat. By it's very nature red population indicates active players. Where blue can easily be a mixture.

Lol no, the pop averaged above 1k easily ~year ago, and above ~1.2k a year and few months ago when Kunark first came out. When P99 first came out? Well I didn't join until like March 2010 I think, and usually the population then was what it is now, before people really knew about it. I could be remembering wrong though. So the population started small, spiked on Kunark, declined and we're now seeing a dead cat bounce in pop spike which will likely decline again, then spike once more with velious, then begin the death decline.

When P1999 was beta, there were folks suggesting that boxing would be mandatory as they insisted population would be ~50. Upon launch population was somewhat over 100 and it gradually grew from there.
