Making a monk twink

Well ive spent months and months farming pp and i have the plat to blow so i thought it would be fun to super twink a monk starting at lvl1 im sure i can resell any gear i buy as i upgrade it but if i got the plat why not spend it. Ill def take any advice on a different choice for gear tho

I don't want to rain on your parade but there is about 300 Monks as alts in the wings Twinked to living hell on standbye.

So I hope you don't have Raid or main puller plans for it. High end guildes are not even taking Monks anymore.

I have no plans on raiding ever on this server raided for 9 years on live also ive never played a monk so i dont think i would ever even attempt to raid with the monk just bored of playing casters figured id try a melee class any suggestion on something that would be more fun playing than a monk? besides warrior...

Well A Twink Warrior on here would help lol. There is a huge lack of tanks on here. Warrior, SK, or Palidans.

The problem on here is there is a TON of Monks, Druids, Shamans.

But don't get me wrong if that is what you want to play all the more power to you. It is your account, and you are the one that is suppose to be happy with it. Go for it.

And by the way a Monk is very fun to play. That is why there is a ton of them.

Yes, there are a lot of twinked monks sitting around. But not a lot of them are getting a lot of playtime. The server is rarely over 10% monks, and when it is, it is usually a ton of level 1-40 monks with not nearly as many 50-60. Plus, of course, there is a big, BIG difference between being a very twinked monk and being a good monk. And which guilds aren't taking monks? TMO and BDA are the only two who use the class desirability thing, and while monks are low for both, neither actually say monk recruitment is closed.

There is not a huge lack of tanks. At any given time of day there are enough warriors, shadowknights, and paladins online for every single person on the server to be in a 6-man group that has at least one of those classes in it.

Having a ton of monks (2nd best dps, tougher than rogues, most soloable of the pure melee, FD is hella fun, great pullers), druids (awesome starter character, many are port alts or just PLing people), and shamans (gods) is not a "problem."
