Default EQ on an android tablet

I just recently got a Lenovo think pad tablet and after playing with all the shiny stuff, I started loading all of my regular apps to include vnc and I had a thought. Can I play eq on my tablet? After some tweaking the answer is.... maybe. I was able to get it working at about a half frame per second using vnc. With some tweaks and judicious lowering of resolution/color depth, I was able to get about 5-10 fps over a wireless N network. I was able to do better using a paid app called splashtop with about 15-20 fps.

Attached is a screenshot.

Tablet is a Lenovo Thinkpad with 1ghz dual core tegra 2 CPU and 1 gb of ram.

Ran everquest on a bargain bin emachines from office max in 2000, on dial up. Shouldn't it be easy to natively run on a powerful droid with 4G? Why is this not the case!!?!?!?!

Played a Cleric named Candalar, Bard named Lidara, Necro named Jalnoth and way too many alts. DRo from late'01 to just after Oow released. Don't quote me on the order, it's been a while. Was in Pravus Mortis till they split, then IR, then SoG, L'malla, and a guild for "semi active" players that I can't remember the name of. Played with Wrathful Inquisition as Lidara, on Combine, WI on P99, aand Lidara again(I happen to to like bards), on Fippy with Ion and DBSR.

@Visual: Android is not windows and the architecture of the processors that run the respective OSes are also different. The EQ codebase would have to be fundamentally reworked to run natively on android devices or some sort of software "wrapper" like Wine or Cedega would need to be written.

I'm actually quite surprised it can't run fairly smoothly.
It's an OLD game after all... Really old.
I wonder if you could play SC or HoMM1-2 or Diablo I, II or WC II on there lol.

I have been seeing some ports of old school games like duke nukem 3d and doom for smartphones/tablets. Who knows, maybe we will see an eq port for androids.

I've successfully ran the client via an RDP session. Took some tweaking, and everything from the login to server select was atrocious, but once in the game it was.....visible. Def would not want to raid with it.

This would take years to do. Look at eqclassic.org. Doing basically the same thing, but not for device.
