 | That's a thought.... Not sure if my data plan is big enough to do it though. | ||

 | I only get 250 MB a month for data. Don't use it much, so I don't need any more than that | ||

Also suggest switching to Sprint. I use on average 3 GB's per month. But then again unlimited plans are vanishing. Sprints will too i time. | |||

 | I share a plan with a family member, but my data is separate. I live out in the boonies (well, boonies for me anyway... kind of a city dweller-type personally) and Sprint gets no service here. Also not sure if my phone will support it? | ||

 | Andriods all should work with a free app for USB tether. You would need to grant yourself Admin/Superuser permissions to use the hotspot tether without the increased data charges. | ||

 | My phone is an earlier type smartphone. I haven't upgraded to a droid or iPhone yet... mostly because I have 3 children and a touch screen scares the daylights out of me :P | ||
