So you've decided to play Everquest, congratulations. You level up and obtain more powerful items. What is the purpose? The purpose of better items is so you may obtain even better items in a more efficient way in the future. The whole purpose is a built upon an endless cycle of pointlessness.

Imagine how much further along you'd be in your financial goals or all of the time you could have spent learning a new language. Think about how much more fit you could have been. Instead, you spent all of this time as a level 38 Troll Shadowknight looking for a group in Lower Guk or answering text messages at 4:00AM to help out some unemployed slob you've never actually met nor will ever meet in real life.

Think about this next time you log in. Or don't.
