I have no clue how playing this build is remotely fun. This is literally about as difficult as taking a BiS Velious Monk and cleaning out Dalnir or Mistmoore.
You just described something that happens frequently on p99 Blue and now Green.

Is it fun to gear up a level 46 warrior in ToV equipment and solo in a spot where you compete with a group of non-geared characters who are on their first toon?

What about using a level 60 BiS monk to clear mobs 30 levels lower than you for multiple hours, again forcing non-geared groups to go elsewhere due to not being able to compete?

And if you're a 60 mage, is it fun to sit in Paineel and clear all the guards with your highest level pet while you watch YouTube, leaving nothing up for anybody else?

How about using a level 60 Shaman to monopolize both camps for Deathfist belts in EC? Or Goblin ears in Highkeep?

These are all things I've seen on p99 Green in the last few weeks alone. These behaviors that are more common now that p99 servers have aged.

Enchanters were actually the weakest class in the game through much of the beta, but now they're arguably even stronger in EQL than they were on P1999 - which is obviously really saying something. The ability to upgrade spells means they can just spam level 16 AOE Mez and never have it resisted, and the same goes for charm and slow. And whatever nerfs they previously had in place on charm itself have been undone, as endgame charm pets now outdamage all summoned pets, as well as even most melee DPS player characters.

Combine Enchanter with Paladin/Monk and you have the most busted OP build possible, to the extent that an already easy game is made soporifically trivial. You can see it in action in the video above. I have no clue how playing this build is remotely fun. This is literally about as difficult as taking a BiS Velious Monk and cleaning out Dalnir or Mistmoore. I'm truly baffled as to how anyone thinks this sort of design/gameplay is going to result in long-term player retention. Unless you've got a brain made of oatmeal or are the most casual of casual players, you're going to get bored of this within a couple of months max.
Yeah, I feel liike if i just threw enchanter onto my build I would be incredibly strong.

On THJ they balanced the game such that any class could just out play an enchanter.

But on EQL enchanter is like, as strong there as it is on p99.

THJ youre like, "you use enchanter? I use fayguard parrying daggers to kill the entire sebilis zone in 1 pull, we are not the same.

But EQL is very much closer to real everquest than THJ was, and as such a pet 10-16 levels higher with max durration charms just wins.

All the more reason for a server reset. I have heard people say many times that if green were ever reset they would love it or would come back to play.

It's funny how you can easily distinguish the people who read about what they think EQL is versus the people who have actually played it.

It's fun and you can (and should) group. I've had more groups on EQL in the last week than I have been able to get on p99 Blue in years.

More EverQuest content is great for me, an EverQuest fan. It's okay to enjoy and play other versions of the game, including live, TLPs, EQ2, EQOA Emu, TAKP, Quarm, and, yes, EQL. The only thing you shouldn't like is P99 Red - that place should be treated like Chernobyl.
Yes lets just dilute the playerbase even more by making more eq servers. The population on p99 has been slowly bleeding out for years and hever recovered from the THJ/Quarm exodus. Nor are those servers thriving either. Its a waste. Green could come back to life if they would just do a reset/wipe.

I worked supernova and found that Rain spells as you hinted BradZax were in fact optimal. The limit of 4 targets allows me to pull a pack and not really worry about mesmerization breaking on all of them. (I keep supernova for my groups).

Soloing - I am spamming Frost Storm then two mesmerizations (to makes sure I cancel anyone from casting a fast spells.) Then blooming myself and Frost Storming again. (All three spells are moted.)

I am able to catch Paladins before they Lay on Hands.

I have my pet setup with weapons with Color Shift procs.

The build is great for D4 mote farming and not for boss fights.

The Wizard/Druid/Chanter has been a lot of fun. Especially the crits.

(Did you know if you run out of mana ... due to the length of Mezmerization you can log out, you can med back a bit of mana and much more ... drain mana, heal up, memblur, charm fights etc.)

Whirl to you hurl is extremely good for stun locking on single targets and recharming.

Great fun all around.

Starts in classic. Revamps to many of the dungeons and apparently more to come. Kerrans start on Kerra Isle and were never blasted to the moon, playable Frogloks are classic frog models, Iksars start at the former Barbarian fishing village in North Ro. They've carved out a home in the mountain. Kunark is probably going to be very similar to how it originally was - curious to see how they handle Cabilis since New Sebilis exists.

Finished my torrid corrupter sword myself! Got it to +9 with saved up void motes. Made a pal/enc/zerk alt to utilize it again when levelling.

Its been fun!
